Our Story

On a warm Saturday evening, July 7, 2018, Brian walked into University of Beer in Midtown Sacramento—unaware that a simple night out would quietly change everything. It had been some time since he’d last been there, and the staff immediately took notice. Among them was Haley, working one of her first shifts as a bar back, observing the familiar buzz and the unmistakable attention Brian seemed to draw. Sensing a moment worth taking, Haley introduced herself. A brief exchange, a handshake, and a spark that neither of them yet understood. As the night wound down, Brian found a seat at the bar, lingering a little longer than necessary, making conversation as Haley wrapped up closing duties. When the staff began talking about brunch plans for the next morning, Brian seized the opportunity and asked for her number. She declined—new to the job and determined to play by the rules. But Brian wasn’t ready to let the night end just yet. He stayed until her shift was over. Numbers were exchanged. And from that moment on, they never stopped talking. On September 30, 2018, Brian made it official and asked Haley to be his girlfriend. Six years of life, love, laughter, and shared memories later, he brought the story full circle in one of their favorite places—Bodega Bay. On Friday, February 16, 2024, standing high above the cliffs with the ocean stretching endlessly below, Brian asked Haley to marry him. She said yes. Every unforgettable second was captured by Katelyn Bradley Photography. And while this chapter feels like a perfect ending, it’s only the beginning. Brian and Haley are excited to celebrate their marriage with the people they love dearly, continue growing their family—Dodger’s full approval included—and keep writing a story filled with unforgettable moments, together.
