In the summer of 2018 Darin and Moira's families decided to go on a Disney Cruise to Alaska. As the only single ones in their families you can imagine their excitement when they heard "Disney Cruise". They both agreed to go and enjoy the time with their families not knowing that decision would change their lives forever... Prior to leaving for the trip Moira's sister even said, "Maybe there is another cool uncle on the cruise with his family" and little did she know, there was another cool uncle D that she would meet soon. The week on the cruise ended up being a fun time with both their families followed by a day at port in Ketchikan. Moira and Darin both signed up to leave the ship that day and go Salmon fishing. As they made their way fishing Moira was paired up with Darin, his Dad, and Brother-in-law on a small fishing boat. Everyone enjoyed a fun day on the water, even though they didn't catch much. When leaving the boat Darin asked Moira what she was doing later and she invited him to come meet her and her siblings out after dinner. That night Darin came to meet Moira and all her siblings to celebrate her Bday. (Which he was not aware of at the time, lol.) Needless to say he was "thrown" into the Coughlan crew rather quickly. A few drinks and a silent disco later, Darin decided that he was going to fly to Chicago to take Moira out when they left Alaska. A week later Moira and Darin were on their first date in Chicago! I guess Disney's slogan "The Most Magical Place on Earth" is onto something... 😉
