These rice terraces are a MUST SEE in Bali. It is famous for its most beautiful scene of rice paddies in Bali. It is located about 30 minutes north of the Sthala Wedding Hotel and can be accessed by taxi or UBER.
Bali is home to various famous Hindu Temples. A sash and sarong are required to enter any temple and will be given to you free of charge: 1. Tanah Lot - This temple is on an island and is a short walk through the ocean. Get ready to get your feet wet! 2. Uluwatu Temple - This temple is a must see and known for its beautiful sunset. Also catch the famous Kecak Balinese dance here. 3. Besakih Temple - This temple is known as Bali's "Mother Temple". It is a complex of many different temples and shrines. 4. Goa Gajah Temple - This is an elephant cave temple. 5. Pura Taman Saraswati Temple - This temple is in the center of Ubud Town.
Just 45 minutes north of the Sthala Hotel is the Elephant Safari Park which is one of the few elephant sanctuaries on the Island. This was one of our most interesting and exciting experiences in Bali. You can pay an entrance fee and walk around the park to get up and close with the elephants. For additional fees, you can choose other activities with them. If you're an elephant lover, don't miss out!
The main attraction of Ubud! The town centre is the central hub and point of tourism for all our guests. Just a 20 minute drive from the Hotel by Taxi or UBER, the town has amazing restaurants, activities, sights, and the most important of all: the Ubud Town Market. Here you can find various shops packed together for you to bargain with the locals for goods. Spend your day shopping, eating, and visiting the temples.
This is a natural forest sanctuary that is home to many of Bali's monkeys. If you would like to take a walk on this trail through the forest while viewing animals other famous temples, this is a great excursion for you. It is walking distance from Ubud Town Centre.
Please Note: This is a 6 hour+ difficult hike that is done as part of a tour group. Going up is very steep and coming down involves slippery dirt. It is advised to do this AFTER the wedding. For more information, please see the link. Watch the sunrise or sunset 5000 ft up in the air when you climb Mt. Batur. It is a tough hike and should be done as part of the official tour. You will leave in the middle of the night to head to the Volcano Mt. Batur and start the hike around 3:00 AM in order to get to the top by sunrise at 6:00 AM. You should be back down and heading home by 10:00 AM. Bali Trekking was the tour company we used and they were great! We hope you get a chance to do this, it was one of our favorite excursions!
The best place for nightlife and partying in Bali is in Kuta. Known for its string of bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and shops, it's the ideal spot to go out. Other runner-ups for going out spots include the Seminyak Beach area and Ubud Town itself which carries a few bars, lounges, and restaurants open to late at night.
