Our Story

In June of 2024, Madi felt a pull to join an online Christian dating site, hoping downloading the app would turn off the ads that were following her. She pulled together a quick profile, not anticipating much from the decision. Meanwhile, Max had been on the site longer than four years, had been on multiple first dates, and was truly losing hope that dating apps worked for him. God had different plans! In that first week after Madi joined, they found each other’s profile and connected. After getting to know each other over messaging, Madi and Max saw the honesty and character in each other and both knew that a first date was in the near future. This led Madi to send, “On a scale of 1-10, how likely is it that I can meet you sometime this week or weekend?”, to which Max responded, “Wow well 1st of all I'm extremely flattered, second of all I don't think I'll give ya a number because we will make it happen!”. Since their first date of watching fireworks on July 3, 2024, their relationship has been grounded in their faith, friendship, and joy in making each other laugh. And the metaphorical fireworks continue! Max planned the most sentimental proposal at the place where the couple had their second date - Lumberjack Johnny’s Axe Throwing. This is where the couple deeply got to know each other and started falling in love, and is therefore very special to them both. Max continually reminded Madi that he would not propose until dating for one year, yet redid this date and proposed on day 364 of their relationship!! Later that evening he planned an intimate surprise engagement party at Madi’s apartment, filled with rose petals, good food, great company, and a Bible study❤️. It was perfect! They are thrilled to be engaged and celebrate their love story with their closest friends and family in the spring of 2026!!
