The dress code for our wedding will be black-tie optional. Men can wear a tux or suit, and for women, full-length gowns, long formal dresses, dressy jumpsuits or pantsuits. (Bridesmaids will be wearing black, but you can too!) DC summer can be HOT and extremely humid. Our ceremony will take place outside, with the reception a hybrid of indoor/outdoor (trust us, the AC at DAR is amazing!). We will all be sweaty together!
We, of course, love all kiddos, but we're not able to include children at our ceremony and reception. We hope you enjoy the opportunity for an adults' night out! If you plan on traveling with children and are looking for a sitter, here are two local options: District Sitter (www.districtsitter.com) White House Nannies (www.whitehousenannies.com)
If you’re flying in from out of town, we recommend taking a taxi or Uber/Lyft from the airport to your hotel and to wedding events. Parking in DC can be tricky—and expensive—so having a car isn’t necessary. Adventurous guests can take public transportation.
There will not be an official shuttle to and from The LINE and the wedding venue DAR. We ask everyone to Uber/Lyft for the short 10-minute drive to DAR!
We’ll add an RSVP section once official invitations go out closer to the wedding. For now, we want to share all the key details so you can plan ahead :) If you already know you won’t be able to make it, please let us know!
