Getting to Portland
If you are traveling from out of town, there are two great options for getting to Portland. You can fly into Portland International Jetport (PWM), or fly into Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and continue on to Portland. From Boston, Portland is about a two-hour drive by car. If you would like to avoid renting a car, there are convenient bus services (Concord Coach will pick you up outside baggage claim at BOS), and train services via the Amtrak Downeaster. If you fly into Portland, the airport is just a short Uber or Lyft (~10-15 minutes) from downtown and the main areas of the city.

We recommend guests book lodging as soon as possible to ensure availability and the best rate! This time of year is very popular in Maine because of the beautiful weather and amazing autumn foliage. In addition to several hotel options below, there are Airbnbs and rental homes in the area. These may offer other affordable or flexible options for larger groups looking to stay together. You may also find hotels near the Portland International Jetport, which may provide other budget-friendly options. The Portland Holiday Inn By the Bay is centrally located between Portland's West End and Old Port neighborhoods and is within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, and the waterfront. Friends and family have access to a discount when booking a minimum two night stay the weekend of the wedding. The La Quinta Inn & Suites is located closer to the airport, but less than a 10 minute drive from the Old Port neighborhood. We have a room block with a discounted rate which is available until August 18th. Please follow the instructions below to book in the room block. Shuttle
Shuttle from Portland to/from the wedding
October 3, 2026 3:00 pm
Shuttles will be provided to transport guests to and from Cunningham Farm. Pickup and drop-off locations will be finalized shortly and will be conveniently located near the hotel blocks in Portland. Parking will also be available on site for those who prefer to drive. While rideshares (Uber/Lyft) may be available from Portland to the venue, availability for return trips after the wedding can be unreliable.

We have planned most wedding events in Portland’s Old Port and West End neighborhoods, both of which are walkable and easy to explore. Traveling within and between these areas typically takes 10 minutes or less by Uber or Lyft.
