Fort Worth Stockyards
Experience western heritage in Fort Worth’s district about 30 minutes West of DFW airport. There are shows, shops, restaurants and live cattle drives every day at 11:30 am & 4:00 pm.
Historic Downtown Grapevine
Downtown Grapevine transforms into the Christmas capital of Texas starting Nov. 24. There’s Christmas lights and decorations, an ice rink, tons of little shops and a Christmas market. Check the website for an exact schedule of events.
Grandscape
This entertainment complex has Galaxy movie theater, Popstroke put-put, Andretti indoor carting and arcade, Grandscape Ferris Wheel and a ton of restaurants. Check out the Scheels sporting goods store while you’re up there.
Bishop Arts District
Explore a charming, walkable neighborhood just South of downtown Dallas with lots of boutique shops and restaurants.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Located near White Rock Lake. The Arboretum will likely be set up for Christmas by this time with a Christmas village and 12 days of Christmas gazebos.
White Rock Lake
If you’re looking to be outdoors and see some nature, this is a great spot! White Rock Lake has 9 miles of paved walking trails along the water and is a perfect place to watch the sunrise or sunset. They also have cruises you can check out at www.thespiritofdallas.com.
