We’re so thrilled that you’re joining us for our wedding day! To make your journey easier, we’re arranging shuttle service from Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José. Arriving on March 27th: We recommend arriving before noon on March 27, 2025, to take advantage of the shuttle service, which is especially convenient for larger groups. If you arrive later, we’re happy to assist with transportation, although smaller groups may need to use taxi services upon request. Departing on March 31st: For your departure, please aim for a flight after 2:00 PM, as the drive back to San José can take a couple of hours. If you’re outside the shuttle service window, we can help coordinate additional shuttles or cabs. Shuttle Arrival Schedule: March 27, 2025 (specific times are being finalized based on your flight information) Shuttle Departure Schedule: March 31, 2025 (specific times are also being finalized based on your flight information) We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Bejuco, Puntarenas Province. In fact if you can stay at a Bejuco Airbnb, you will less than 5 minutes from the venue.
Most places take American money & speak english. The conversion rate is simple, take the listed colón price & divide by 500.
The roads are in pretty good condition. There are long stretches of one lane highways on the way to Esterillos Este from San Jose. Note that speed bumps are intense and you should slow down to nearly zero when crossing! There are several tolls from San Jose to Esterillos Este. Luckily they all take tap. Just have your CC or Phone ready when you pull up. Choose the line that says "Manual". Navigation works great. Remember to charge your phone.
Most places take Tap or credit cards.
Yes. Besides bringing a hoodie or warm sweater for the flights, you wont need warm attire during your visit. Bring loose clothing that breaths (and maybe a rain jacket). You should acclimate after a couple days. The wedding starts at 4:00pm which will allow shade and cool breezes for some relief / the ceremony will not be directly under the sun.
When you arrive, you can stop at the Duty Free area of the airport and buy what you'd like for your own supply. The cost of most alcohol- Liquor is 2 to 3x more expensive. We highly recommend the local beer Imperial, most foreigners fall in love with the beer. Our wedding planners advised us to purchase alcohol at duty free when we stop in to cut down on costs. If you want to bring a bottle to the welcome party, feel free!
