We're getting married!

Mitch and I attended Jr. high and high school together at Desert Christian, a small private school in Tucson. He was a grade ahead of me, and we became friends soon after I started my freshman year. We were quite fond of each other and when I was a sophomore, I accompanied him to Spring Formal. The summer after, our interest in each other fizzled away and we both moved forward with our lives. Mitch moved to CA to attend Azusa Pacific University while I stayed to attend the University of Arizona. After graduating, he began training for the Navy while I focused on nursing school. More than five years went by without talking, but over the past couple years we slowly began re-connecting on social media. After some slight resistance on my part, we finally met up for coffee. With very few exceptions, we saw each other almost every day after that until the day he left for boot camp. The past eight months have been filled with an abundance of love and laughter, long conversations, lots of learning and apologies, and more joy than I thought possible! Mitch will graduate from the Navy’s boot camp on December 1, 2017 (yay!). Immediately following, he will continue his training in Chicago for about 8 weeks. Although we still don't know the dates that he'll be home for Christmas, we think he’ll have 10 days (yes, I know, we're taking a leap of faith here! See FAQ for more info). After his 8 weeks, he’ll be stationed in San Diego for a year or more. I graduate from nursing school this December and early next year I will sit for the NCLEX and look for nursing jobs in San Diego. The Lord has been so good and faithful to us and we believe He is asking us to trust Him as we step out in faith for this next chapter of our story together. We couldn’t be more honored to celebrate our marriage alongside the friends and family who have helped us grow into the man and woman we are today. We are so thankful for each and every one of you and hope you can make it to celebrate with us!
