Getting in

Passport: You'll need a valid passport (not passport card) to travel to Europe. Please see federal websites for passport specific info and recommendations. ETIAS: Previously anticipated for 2025, approval via the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) has been delayed until 2026. This is good news for you as no additional registration will be needed : https://etias.com/etias-requirements/ & https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en). 2025 is Jubilee, a year-long Catholic celebration, in Italy. Italy will be in its most beautiful state and also one of its most popular times to visit!

Flight

Flying in

We recommend flying into Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport (FCO) - Rome's major airport. Other popular options include Pisa (PSA) and Bologna (BLQ). Ancona (AOI) is the closest major airport to our venue, however international flights to AOI may be more challenging to find. If you'll already be in Europe, these and other smaller airports (like Venice) may be desirable to fly into.

Reaching the Villa

Regardless of your flights, once you're ready to head toward the venue, we highly recommend considering to rent a car for the drive to San Severino Marche. There are other public transportation options- trains and buses make stops in Ancona (~1 hour away), Fabriano (~45 minutes away), and San Severino, however Uber/Lyft are not available and Taxis from those stations are very limited. Italians drive on the same side of the road. Rental agencies require a US drivers license. You can also get an international drivers license from AAA, but this would only be needed for police stops.

There are multiple places around our Villa to stay, from traditional Italian Bed and Breakfasts, to rental villas to hotels, we are confident there is something for everyone. Prices in this area are generally lower than those around major tourism spots. Booking windows may not yet be open, you may need to enquire closer to the date. Cities to consider looking: San Severino Marche (~0-5 minutes away), Tolentino (~20 minutes away), Cingoli or Macerata (~20 minutes away)
