If you are staying in Mission Bay near the venue and looking for a fun beachside activity, checkout Belmont Park. There are rollercoasters, mini golf, an arcade, and much more, all located right on Mission Beach.
Old Town is a super fun place to visit to learn about the history of San Diego and its founding. Not only that, but there are some great little shops and Mexican restaurants here, so it's a perfect place to go for lunch and a fun afternoon.
Balboa park is full of great museums and beautiful architecture and is a great place to spend an afternoon. It is also home to the San Diego Zoo if you are looking for even more adventure.
In the heart of Downtown and right on the waterfront of the bay, Seaport Village is the perfect place to walk around, do a little shopping in the many different boutiques, and grab a bite to eat with a great ocean view.
You can't go wrong with a beach day in San Diego. Any of the beaches in the area are nice, but some of our favorites are Mission Beach, La Jolla, or Coronado (with the added bonus of getting to visit the historic Hotel Del Coronado).
Birch Aquarium not only features interesting exhibits about the surrounding sea life in the Pacific, it also has a beautiful view of La Jolla and the surrounding coastline.
