Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Koki Sabatés and Mitch DePriest
We cannot wait to have you here for our special day! Below are some of our favorite places and spaces where our love story began and grew.
Verdigris Bar

Verdigris Bar

5245 West 116th Place, Leawood, KS 66211

In the words of Coldplay, “I’ll take you back to the start.” On a historically cold January night, and on the eve of his 30th birthday, Mitch and Koki shared several drinks and a Cuban sandwich over the course of a five hour date. Enjoy the vibes, the cocktails, and think of how they fell in love in the glow of the candlelight.

Cardboard Corner Cafe

Cardboard Corner Cafe

9240 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS 66212

Koki and Mitch absolutely love CCOP! They are self-proclaimed, but very well known as, Board Game Geeks. You might even see them if you visit! Mitch recommends Ticket to Ride and Koki recommends Splendor. They both recommend Sea Salt & Paper and Slambo for fun and fast games.

Gram & Dun

600 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64112

After courting for a few weeks, Koki suggested going to her favorite restaurant during KC’s Restaurant Week. Mitch parked several blocks away, likely to have extra time to hold her hand. Koki burst out before her second bite of crème brûlée “So, what are we doing here? What do you want? What are we?” The rest is history.

Fluffy Fresh

Fluffy Fresh

5729 Johnson Drive, Mission, KS 66202

When Koki lived in Fairway, she and Mitch had a favorite breakfast routine of grabbing a donut and took turns reading each other sections of “Coffee News.” That’s when Koki realized she wanted to read Mitch the paper every morning for the rest of her life. Get there early and bring cash!

Kon Tiki

Kon Tiki

1922 Baltimore Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64108

Who doesn’t love a tiki bar? We sure love it. Great vibes and drinks here. Don’t forget to check out the Photo Booth on the way out!

Town Topic Hamburgers

This is Koki’s favorite BBQ spot! The cheesy-corn bake is phenomenal and Mitch’s favorite is the chicken wings!

Brookside Wine & Spirits
