Rental Car
See rental agencies here: https://www.flysfo.com/to-from/rental-cars. If you prefer not to rent a car, there is a bus from the airports to Monterey. You can find information here: https://www.montereyairbus.com/schedules. Note: Without a car, you may be limited in what you can do in the Carmel/Monterey area. You can still Uber/Lyft, but these may be more limited than they are in major cities.

Hotel
We recommend staying in the Monterey area, as this seems to be the best launch point for activities. We've reserved a block of rooms at the Monterey Marriott for $242 per night (+ tax & parking). Reserve by clicking "View" below this description or calling Marriott Reservations at (831) 649-4234 before Fri., August 6, 2021. You must identify yourself as part of the Solem/Billimack Wedding Room Block staying at the Monterey Marriott, located at 350 Calle Principal Monterey, CA 93940. Another few hotels nearby that we recommend checking out are Casa Munras (0.4 miles away at 700 Munras Ave, Monterey, CA 93940), Holiday Inn Express Monterey–Cannery Row (1 mile away at 443 Wave St Monterey, CA 93940), and Colton Inn (0.4 miles away at 707 Pacific St. Monterey, CA 93940). Rates vary from $200 to $275. A more budget friendly option is the Red Lion Hotel. If none of these hotels suit you, there are numerous other hotels and AirBnBs/VRBOs in the area.
Shuttle
September 5, 2021 2:15 pm - 10:00 pm
We'll be providing a shuttle service to/from the wedding departing from the Monterey Marriott. We recommend using the shuttle service, as driving the curvy roads at nighttime may be challenging. The two shuttles will pick up from the Monterey Marriott (350 Calle Principal, Monterey) at 2:15pm. After the wedding and reception, they'll depart the vineyard at 9:45/10:00pm to return to the Marriott. If you choose not to stay at the Marriott but still stay near Monterey Fisherman’s Wharf, you'll be within a reasonable walking distance from the shuttle pickup. There are also parking garages- the Downtown West Garage and Downtown East Garage. Rates are currently first hour free, $2 an hour, daily max $12, rates repeat at midnight. The West Garage is at 340 Tyler St, Monterey, CA 93940. East garage is right next to it. We recommend using the shuttle service. If you do choose to drive, please plug the address in to your GPS ahead of time, as you will lose service along the drive.
House Or Rental
Another great option is renting through AirBnb (https://www.airbnb.com) or VRBO (https://www.vrbo.com). There are lots of properties in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Carmel Valley, Monterey, Pacific Grove, and Big Sur. The venue is located up in the hills of Carmel Valley, so it will be a bit of a drive on the wedding day. Don't worry about staying close to the venue. We will be arranging shuttles- if you'd like to take advantage of the shuttles, you may want to stay near the Monterey Marriott.
