The art museum is in Forest Park (just like our wedding), and best of all it's free! Mitch loves the photography exhibit, while Bethany's favorite is the French Impressionism. If you have some extra time, we highly recommend it.
We couldn't give you a list of stuff to do in St Louis without including the Arch. If you're not afraid of heights or closed-in spaces, this is the way to get the best views of the city. They also have a brand new museum to check out before or after your trip to the top!
Located right across from the Zoo, we love the productions that this company puts on every summer. This year the show is Much Ado About Nothing, one of Bethany's favorites! It's a romantic comedy that's sure to put you in the wedding spirit. If you come a day early or stay a day late, have a glass of wine and enjoy the show!
Fitz's root beer and sodas are famous in the St. Louis area. This family friendly restaurant serves classic American food, and you can watch the sodas being bottled as you eat. If you have a sweet tooth, make sure to get one of their gigantic ice cream floats!
If you're craving pizza in St. Louis, you might feel like checking out Imo's (they're everywhere!), but if you're not a big fan of provel on your pizza, we recommend Pi. They have really yummy flavor combinations, or you can choose your own toppings! Bethany's mom Jan loves the whole-wheat crust and the mathematical name!
The Peacock Diner is a 24 hr restaurant located on the Delmar Loop. If you're craving some late-night snakcs after the reception, we recommend stopping by here. It has 50's vibes, yummy greasy food and alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) milkshakes!
Mission Taco is one of our absolute favorite spots to eat. Bethany even had her 21st birthday here! The flavor combos are not your typical Mexican fare (mango shrimp, anyone?), but they are all delicious. Their late night happy hour starts at 10 with $2 tacos and tequila shots! It's a lively spot, where you can keep the party going after the reception. There's a few in the area, not just at the address listed, so check which is closest to you!
We had Shake Shack for the first time while on our Chicago trip, and it blew our minds. We were so excited when a location opened up in Saint Louis, and we could relive our memories. If you've never had it before, you have to give it a try! It's one of the best fast food burger places out there.
