Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Aly Fugitt and Mitch McFarland
Whitefish, MT is nestled in the Northern Rocky Mountains and is an outdoorsy person's wonderland. With the quaint downtown area, however, whether you are indoors or outdoors you will have plenty of activities to fill your days. Just click on the "View" button provided in each suggestion for more information on things to do in the area!

Glacier National Park

Going-to-the-Sun Road, MT

Glacier National Park is just 25 miles from Whitefish. We recommend doing the "Going-To-The-Sun Road" drive as it offers the most amazing scenic views of the park! Glacier also provides a free hop on, hop off shuttle service for those who will not have a vehicle available to them.

Whitefish Mountain

3889 Big Mountain Road, Whitefish, MT 59937
, (877) 754-3474

Whitefish Mountain Resort (AKA Big Mountain) is famous for it's spectacular skiing, however there are tons of activities on the mountain in the summer as well! There is lift- access downhill mountain biking, hiking, zip-line tours, alpine slide rides, an aerial adventure park, and so much more.

Whitefish Lake Golf

1200 U.S. 93, Whitefish, MT 59937
, (406) 862-4000

Whitefish Lake Golf Club has two 18-hole courses and is surrounded by beautiful mountain views. Click "View" for their main web page. Aly's brother-in-law is a proud member and a wealth of knowledge if anyone would like more information or insider tips ;)

Mountain Biking

There are over 55 miles of mountain biking trails within Whitefish ranging from easy to difficult. You can find awesome downhill biking trails on Whitefish Mountain. Just click on the "View" button to see the trails. Also look into the Whitefish Bike Park, which is a repeat top-5 winner in the MTBparks.com Riders' Choice Best Bike Parks Awards for the Northwest Region.

Water Activities

If you enjoy stand-up paddle boarding or kayaking, we recommend going to City Beach located right in Whitefish for rentals. There are also many fishing opportunities such as fly fishing on the river or charter fishing for trout. If you are feeling extra adventurous, you can check out the river rafting opportunities that Glacier offers. If you'd like more information on any of these, just let us know!

Breweries & Distilleries

Whitefish has some awesome local brews and spirits! For breweries check out: The Great Northern Brewing Company, Bonsai Brewing Project, and Montana Tap House. For Distilleries: Spotted Bear Spirits, Glacier Distilling Company, and Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits. If you are particularly interested in the local craft brew scene, you may want to look into the guided educational tour through the valley's award winning brews with the "Big Sky Brews Cruise." Click on the "View" button for more information on that!

Shopping, Dining, and Nightlife

Whitefish has a quaint downtown area with locally owned shops and galleries lining the old western styled covered boardwalks. We encourage you to take a stroll and enjoy the beautiful art galleries, native jewelry/clothing stores, and of course the local eats. Huckleberry everything!! In the evening, explore award-winning cuisine from chefs that love to incorporate fresh, local ingredients as well as world class wine selections and friendly small town service. There is also live music every weekend as well as pubs and one club. A little bit of everything for everyone. Ask us about our favorite spots!

Etc.

As there is just not enough space to suggest all that Whitefish has to offer on one page, please ask us about anything else! There is horseback riding, rock climbing, camping, family fun parks, and so much more. Let us help you have an amazing visit!

For all the days along the way
