Yes. Parking at the Hotel Richelieu is 40.00. Yes. Street Parking in Bywater available. Google Tigermen Den to see the neighborhood set up. This is a small neighborhood without a company parking lot. No handicap nor assigned parking for the event location nor bus access. (Take an Uber or Lyft) Let them drop you off at the door if you are in high heels or need assistance.
No. Sorry! This neighborhood was built in the 1800s and the streets were made for horses. Buses would not manage and no assigned parking for trolleys. (We checked) Leave the hotel between 10:30am - 11:00am to get to Tigermen Den. This is a loosy goosy, chilled out Missy event. Arrive whenever you like. Don't stress about a start time.
Nope. The "vibe" is casual Sunday lunch at Missy and Ron's. Where people can drop by and laugh, eat and drink without a fuss. The only "want" is to have a family photo taken noonish.
Ideally, as soon as possible for planning purposes. But aim for March 10th. If you could text your arrival information into MSY airport, we may be able to hook you up with other relatives coming into town. (Yes. The New Orleans Airport is named Missy)
Ron and Missy exchanged vows and rings on July 4th in Cabo. We will see what happens in New Orleans!
Awesome! The Hotel Richelieu will book for only Saturday night. You just have to pay full price which is still under 200.00 a night. Parking is 40.00 a night Work that “Louisiana resident discount” … or walk 30 feet. Walking distance to Haunted Hotel/Hotel Royal/etc. text Missy for options. Hotel Provincial is walkable 3 minutes away. Hotel Richelieu does book 1 night but you can hang on our balconies and stay elsewhere. Variety is the spice of life
Please call or text Missy at 225-936-2473. We can add a few more rooms to our block once the initial contract is sold out. The double beds in a room are sold out so is the best if you need 2 beds in a room. We will be able to wave at each other from hotels. No biggie. I will get u connected others. Just let me know. (Hotels will not allow me to have a 1 night block)
Due to so many people coming and going (plus, we do not need to rehearse at the venue) we do not have a formal welcome party. With so many ages and interests, we were not sure how to choose a place, either. We believe anyone - especially the kids - would love to take a dinner steamboat ride on Friday night. For the music loving set - Frenchmen Street may be playing your tunes! For the teenagers - cool places like Jam Nola or Mardi Gras World may be your bag. The Hop on Hop Off Bus is fun for everyone. Check Groupon for coupons You do you, boo boo! Thank you for attending and Bienvenue en Louisianne'. We love you!
Yes. I believe some people are staying longer. We will be able to update this information closer to the event. But, Sunday night rates that weekend should be pretty low. Plus, weather in March is beautiful.
