Things To Do

While living in NYC, we are often only on the North Shore for weekends at a time. Below are some of our favorite places to visit whenever we are in town!
Lanes Cove

Lanes Cove

2 Lanes Cove Road, Gloucester, MA 01930

Lanes Cove has always been one of Miriams favorite spots, and it became even better when Riley proposed to Miriam there in June. Grabbing some takeout & a beach towel and watching the sunset here is an absolute must do!

The Shipyard Tavern

74 Main Street, Essex, MA 01929

Riley and Miriam went to lunch at The Shipyard Tavern before Riley proposed. While they stumbled upon it by accident, they were happy to discover its connection to The Choate Bridge Pub (a favorite of the Joyces.) They shared a Cup of Clam Chowder followed by A Warm Buttered Lobster Roll for Riley & Fried Scallops for Miriam!

Topsfield Center

30 Main St., Topsfield, MA 01983

Topsfield Center has coffee shops, markets & lunch spots. While you're on the North Shore you can't miss the opportunity for a famous Roast Beef Sandwich and Alex's has the best!

Ipswich Center

3 South Main St., Ipswich, MA 01983

Ipswich Center is always a go to for Zumis Coffee, The Choate Bridge Pub and Riverview Pizza!

White Farms Homemade Ice Cream

330 High St., Ipswich, MA 01938

Order your favorite flavor as a kiddie to-go and thank us later!

Russell Orchards

147 Argilla Rd., Ipswich, MA 01938

Russell Orchards Farm & Winery is the perfect place to visit on a crisp October day. They offer apple picking, cider donuts & wine flights!

New Meadows Golf Club

30 Wildes Rd., Topsfield, MA 01983

If you're like Riley, you may be looking to spend a morning on the Golf Course!

Downtown Newburyport

Downtown Newburyport

2 Unicorn St., Newburyport, MA 01950

Downtown Newburyport offers shopping, restaurants and waterfront views. Miriam took Riley here the first time he visited her in Massachusetts. They recommend The Goat, Agave, Bar25 & walking along the water!
