Miriam & Riley met shortly before graduating from Syracuse University in May, 2021. They always figured the "funny story" of graduation night would be shared by Riley's sister; Mia, on their wedding day. Miriam & Riley dated long distance for a year, traveling between Syracuse and NYC. They spent a lot of weeknights on FaceTime watching the same movie and enjoyed weekends together cooking, mini golfing & playing board games. Miriam convinced Riley to move to NYC around the same time she decided to run the New York City Marathon! Riley famously biked beside her on all her long runs and they explored their new home together. The next year they moved together to Jersey City and have enjoyed trying all the new pizza & bagel spots as well as the new monthly cinnamon rolls at their local bakery! Most Saturday mornings Riley can be found golfing while Miriam does her long run and then they enjoy afternoons watching Syracuse Football or Basketball! They love spending weekends in Milford with The VanWie's on the boat and grilling in the backyard as well as weekends in Topsfield with the Joyce's walking Harley, going to Red Sox games and visiting with friends in Boston. In February 2025, Riley asked the Joyces for permission to propose to Miriam while on a family trip to Italy and in June he proposed. Miriam was surprised to come home to a house full of family and friends who traveled from near and far to celebrate their love! Miriam and Riley are excited to host their friends and family in Massachusetts and are looking forward to a night of fun in the beautiful Mansion on Turner Hill!
