An incredible museum that has ancient and modern art exhibits from all over the world, including Egyptian art (and mummies!) and contemporary art pieces like Judy Chicago's "The Dinner Party". You are also close to Nick's dad's pharmacy, S&T Pharmacie, so stop by and say hi!
Cross the Brooklyn Bridge and check out some sights like Brooklyn Bridge Park, The Promenade, and Jane's Carousel. There are also some great public art pieces and Grimaldi's Pizza nearby if you get hungry!
For the Swifties coming to visit, this is where Taylor Swift filmed her music video, "Blank Space". Schedule a tour where they can show you some incredible things. Not a Swiftie? Oheka Castle has also been used for many popular films and TV shows, including Succession and the movie Citizen Kane.
The Purple Elephant is an excellent restaurant near our wedding venue with incredible food options for vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers.
Huntington is a beautiful Long Island town with a lot to offer. Besides visiting Oheka Castle, there are state parks, beaches, museums, and shopping at Walt Whitman Shops. For science enthusiasts, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is about 10 minutes away, where many scientists made key discoveries in the fields of molecular biology and genetics.
A great takeout restaurant in the Middle Island, Thai Shack East quickly became one of our regular spots. Be sure to mention us when you meet the owner Kei. Some of our favorites are the Thai Shack Wings, Wonton Soup, Thai Shack Salmon Curry, and Pad See Ew (with egg, of course!)
Port Jefferson has great shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, and bars. Our favorite spots are Slurp Ramen, Nantucket's, Barrito, and Roots Kava Bar! Or grab some local wine at Pindar's wine shop.
