Combining our love of science, space, and a dash of romance, the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium was the ideal place for us to get married. We hope a Thursday wedding will allow our guests to enjoy all that New York City and Long Island have to offer, especially our out-of-town guests.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Because the ceremony will be inside the planetarium, late guests will not be allowed to enter once the ceremony begins. Plus, we want to ensure we have plenty of time to party and celebrate together!
The dress code is cocktail/formal. The venue has cobblestones and some uneven paths, so please wear or bring comfortable shoes. Guests are strongly encouraged to wear their celestial best or space-themed attire. Our venue is near the water, so bring a jacket or coat for the evening. No costumes please. We encourage you to draw inspiration from stars, the sun, the moon, planets within our solar system, and other entities within our galaxy and beyond. The possibilities are endless!

Parking is available onsite for free and there is ample parking available. We encourage our guests to use ride-share apps or carpool when possible.
Don't worry, we've got you! Golf cart shuttles will be available to take guests around the venue throughout the evening, including to the parking lot, the planetarium for the ceremony, and to the Celebration Tent for the reception.
A map of the venue is available at (copy and paste the link into your browser): https://www.vanderbiltmuseum.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/2024-English-Map.pdf We will start the ceremony in the Reichert Planetarium, followed by cocktail hour at the Rose Garden (next to the planetarium). There will be a group photo at the Corinthian Columns before we begin the reception in the Celebration Tent.
No. Flash photography is not allowed inside the planetarium, and we'll have an incredible photography and videography team to capture our day. If you take photos before the ceremony or at the reception that you would like to share with us, please upload them to our Google Photo Album (copy/paste the following link into your browser): https://photos.app.goo.gl/V4M9P6FUZbd7dDyE8
Our wedding hashtag is #EnterTheStrattosFleur
Expect to dance the night away at our reception! To help you get ready to #EnterTheStrattosFleur, we made a Spotify playlist of our favorite space-themed songs. Copy and paste the link into your browser to listen: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3gKb0tWgKwaTok3xZMBydG?si=6c019be5828141f0
We hope for a beautiful fall day near the water, though Long Island is known for an occasional rain shower. Please bring a coat or jacket for the evening, including during the ceremony since we will be indoors. We encourage you to check local weather reports the week of the wedding to help you plan accordingly.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event due to the capacity and formality of our event.
