The park, which spans more than 3,300 acres throughout Douglas County, was originally established in 1975 and is a recognized National Natural Landmark and Colorado Natural Area. Dramatic hogback, spire, and monolithic rock formations are showcased throughout the park, including the tilted Fountain Formation, which leans at an impressive 60-degree angle.
