Local Breakfast Favorites

There are many wonderful places for breakfast nearby: Hood River The Columbia Gorge Hotel - where we most likely will be Bette's - Classic breakfast diner River Daze - Casual vibe, fabulous breakfast sandwiches on homemade english muffins! Riverside - Located in a hotel, great river views and river walk for afterwards Golden Goods - Vegan, right in the heart of downtown Broder Øst - Scandinavian Fare White Salmon (10 min drive into Washington across the river) White Salmon Bakery - Matt & Miranda's personal favorite! P.S. There was accidentally a brunch that you might have R.s.v.p.'d to, we are sorry to say there is no Sunday Brunch, that was a mistake on the website, but there are plenty of amazing places to try in town. :)

Local Dinner Favorites

6th Street Bistro - casual upstairs, more formal downstairs Kickstand - open all day, great food Henni's in White Salmon (across the river) - Miranda's favorite! Riverside Grill - located inside The Best Western with the best views of the river. Take a waterfront stroll after your meal. 3 Rivers - more formal, right downtown Common House - great selection of wine & beer located under Mike's Ice Cream Stonehedge Gardens - Great ambiance, get the brown butter ravioli :)

Activities in Town

Mt. Hood Railroad: Take a train ride through the beautiful orchards of Hood River and stop along popular "Fruit Loop" stops for fresh fruit! Oak Street: Hood River's main street. Grab a coffee at Dog River coffee. Shop at The Ruddy Duck, and many other cute boutiques, grab ice cream at Mike's Ice Cream and people watch on the library lawn. Waterfront Park: Watch the windsurfers & kit boarders along the river, play at the park, take a dip or go for a stroll along the walking path. Be sure to stop for pizza at Solstice and gelato at the gelato stand! 20 min drive - The Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler: Take a boat ride and see the views of the Columbia Gorge by water! The port is in Cascade Locks, 20 mins west of Hood River. 45 min drive - Lost Lake: A camp ground and great spot for a day trip to the lake. Kayak! 1hr drive - Timberline Lodge: This beautiful ski lodge is open year-round. 1hr drive - Mt. Hood Skibowl Adventure Park: Fun for all ages, alpine slides, go-carts, etc.
