Where should I stay?

Answer

Our wedding planner recommends the Hilton Garden Inn, Oakland/San Leandro: 510 Lewelling Boulevard San Leandro, CA 94579 (510) 346-5533 This hotel is about 6 miles away -- a 15 minute drive. There are many other hotels in the area, as well as AirBnB and similar options!

What airport do you recommend?

Answer

Our favorite airport is San Jose (SJC) -- it's smaller and may be more friendly to those with travel anxiety! San Jose Mineta International Airport is about 30 miles away from our wedding venue. Technically speaking, Oakland (OAK) is the closest airport, at only 12 miles away from our wedding venue location. San Francisco (SFO) also has many flight options, though it is the furthest away at around 40 miles. All airports are prone to California traffic, though this one may have the most depending on time of day. Your best flight options will probably vary based on what city you are departing from :)

Can I wear a floral print that has a white background?

Answer

Yes! If your print has a white background, but is dominantly the color(s) of the print, please feel free to wear it.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather in Castro Valley should have a high around 75 on the day of our wedding, with a nighttime low around 60. The ceremony will be outdoors at 6 PM; sunset is around 8:15 PM. Cocktail hour is from 6:30 to 7:30 -- indoors but with outdoor access if you so choose!
