Alex was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He went to college at Michigan State University; he graduated in 2021. After school, Alex joined the Army as a Medical Officer in upstate New York. After 1.5 years in New York, he decided to go to Army flight school to be a Blackhawk pilot at Fort Rucker, Alabama. He met Miranda and fell in love. After flight school, he moved to Savannah, Georgia, to be a MedEvac pilot at Hunter Army Airfield. When he is not busy at work, he enjoys working out, spending time with friends and family, taking Huey to the dog park, and the occasional game of golf.
Miranda was born in Austin, Texas. She went to Baylor University and graduated in 2022. She started medical school at Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan, Alabama. She met Alex and fell in love. After her second year, she moved to Mobile, Alabama, to begin her clinical rotations. When she's not busy with school, Miranda enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends and family, playing pickleball, and fishing.
Huey was found on the side of the road by one of Alex’s flight instructors. Alex decided to go “look at the puppy”, but Miranda knew Alex would be coming home with a six-week-old puppy. Though they couldn’t agree on a name at first, they could agree he was the perfect addition to the family. For those who don’t know, a ‘Huey’ is an Army helicopter renowned for its durability and protection.
