Miranda was in her first year of medical school in Dothan, Alabama, and Alex was just starting Army flight school in Enterprise, Alabama. A stroke of fate brought them together in nowhere Alabama. Their first date was Mexican food at Rodeo Mexican Restaurant (for any local southeast Alabamians) and a scary movie (Scream 6). Even though Alex does not like scary movies, he stuck it out for Miranda. They were both a little nervous, but they knew from that night on they had found something special. When they are not busy with school or work, they enjoy going to the beach, golfing, camping, crabbing, going to concerts, and watching scary movies, much to Alex's dismay.
