Tanner met Daniel in Cru their freshman year of college. They quickly bonded over their California roots and became known as the cute Cali boys. They bonded over guitar jam sessions, a terrible camping experience, and intramural basketball.

Brecklyn and Miranda met in the 7th grade. They played volleyball and basketball, ran track, sang in choir, performed in the school's talent show, fawned over Rob Lowe in The Outsiders, started a business that failed, the list goes on of things they did together.

Tanner met Josh at Capital Church in Utah. Josh is Tanner's financial role model. They enjoy having long conversations about the Federal Reserve, taxes, and the broader economy. Miranda and Maddie, Josh's wife, are very happy they have each other.
