Lauren and Jeff first met on September 19th, 2020 at a beach party for Lauren's best friend, Hannah's, birthday. It was a quick meet and greet but Lauren noted that he did make her laugh. A few months later, they met again at a housewarming party for Hannah in which Lauren noted how funny Jeff was, but more so that her sister and her friends were with him, laughing the whole time and she was quite envious, because she wanted to laugh too. Lauren was sort of "talking" to a different guy at the time but felt herself being drawn to this funny guy that kept making her sister and friends laugh. The next time they met was also at Hannah's house for a Halloween party where Lauren was dressed as Doc from Back to the Future and Jeff was a golfer (aka his normal clothes). Lauren talked with him the entire night, laughing, quoting movies, making him try her baked brie (which he has now come to love), and completely ignoring the other guy (she knew she was over him anyway). Jeff heard she was involved so he didn't want to make any moves just yet. Finally, things ended with Lauren's situationship, and she was quite excited to see Jeff at Hannah's next party for New Year's Eve (yes, Hannah was quite the party host). Jeff had heard Lauren was newly single, and was also looking forward to seeing her, making sure he left a different NYE party to make it to Hannah's in time for midnight. Lauren got herself dolled up, and was very eager to see Jeff, who made sure to make a very fashionably late entrance at just 11:50pm. Lauren knew she wanted to kiss him at midnight and made the move once the ball dropped, in which Jeff so nonchalantly went in and...turned his cheek...(ouch) to which he then grabbed Lauren's head and finally kissed her back. Obviously one for theatrics. After NYE, the two were inseparable. With Lauren living in Hermosa Beach at the time, and Jeff in the Valley, they were forced to be more of a weekend couple, but always making the best of it with plenty of activities. Jeff would commonly surprise her on a weekday night, just to wake up at 4am to drive back to the Valley to get to work on time. The two then moved in together in an apartment in Sherman Oaks for a year and loved it. However, Lauren's a beach girl, and it was calling her back, so the two moved to Hermosa Beach together in March 2024. While Lauren was in Morocco in Sept 2024, Jeff secretly flew to NJ to surprise her parents and ask for their daughter’s hand in marriage, all without Lauren having any idea thanks to some secretive friends and family. On October 19th, Jeff took Lauren to their favorite park in Palos Verdes for a picnic, walked her to the cliff edge, and got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him, to which Lauren first exclaimed, "Are you sure?!" but luckily followed with "Of course I will!". The two later joined their friends and family for multiple engagement parties. Lauren then learned of the secret trip to NJ that was almost a bust. Their family friend, Pete accidentally sent a photo of the family (with Jeff in the background) to a group text that also included Lauren. But all was saved, it remained a surprise, and through all the almost's, the maybe's, the parties, laughs, long drives, activities, concerts, trips, and goofiness, the two are set to marry exactly 5 years and 6 days later from the day they first met, on September 26th, 2025.
