Lễ Xin Dâu is a formal visit by the groom’s (Minh's) family to the Thy's home on the wedding day. During this ceremony, the Minh's representatives request permission from the Thy's family for her to be taken to the his house. It typically involves traditional greetings, an exchange of speeches, and the presentation of symbolic gift trays (mâm quả). This step emphasizes respect, gratitude, family approval, and the joining of two families.

Semi-Formal / Traditional Ao Dai
Lễ Rước Dâu is the ceremonial procession in which the groom (Minh), accompanied by his family and friends, formally escorts the bride from Thy's home to the Minh's residence. Following the approval granted during Lễ Xin Dâu, Thy says farewell to her family and joins Minh’s family. During this ceremony, they will exchange rings and officially become husband and wife. It also marks Thy's formal introduction into Minh's family, as their families and loved ones witness the beginning of their life together as a married couple.

Although the traditional ceremonies (Lễ Xin Dâu and Lễ Rước Dâu) themselves take place privately at Thy's and Minh's home, a dinner reception for extended family and friends will follow at the GEM Center.
