The wedding and reception will both be held at Valley Road Vineyard in Afton, Virginia. A cocktail hour and reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
The final date to RSVP is May 31, 2025. For planning purposes, we ask that you please RSVP electronically on our website as soon as you know whether or not you will be able to join us.
We wish we could accommodate everyone and love your children, however, due to space constraints, we can only host individuals listed on the invitation.
We are planning to host both our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors in a grassy area overlooking the mountains and lake (weather permitting). The reception will be held indoors in the barn but will have an outdoor deck area to enjoy, as well.
The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 PM. We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes early so that you have time to find your seat.
Formal. Gentleman should wear either a suit or sport coat/blazer with a tie. For the ladies, a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit are recommended. The ceremony will be in a grassy area and may require walking on some gravel surfaces so please be mindful when choosing your shoes.
Yes, there is plenty of free parking at the venue.
We will be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a buffet at our reception with chicken, beef and vegetarian options. An open bar with beer, wine and spirits will be available. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions in your RSVP.
Late September is a weather transition period between Summer and Fall in Charlottesville. Average highs are in the 60s-70s with lows in the 50s and 60s. There is some variability during this time of year and could potentially be much warmer or cooler so we'd recommend checking the weather prior to your travel.
Yes, we have reserved blocks at the Holiday Inn-Monticello and Holiday Inn Express-Charlottesville. Please see our travel page for more details and recommendations.
There is a home UVA football game the same weekend of our wedding. Charlottesville hotels are often fully booked during these weekends and hotels are unfortunately more expensive. We encourage you to book early and utilize our wedding blocks. Air BnB's are also an option.
We are so excited for you to visit and enjoy our city! Please see our 'Things to Do' page for recommendations.
We recommend Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO), Richmond International (RIC) or Dulles International (IAD). More details about these airports can be found on our 'Travel' page.
Additional changes/updates will appear on our wedding website. We also encourage you to add your e-mail address when you RSVP so that we can correspond with any last minute changes.
