Glacier National Park

Although the Going-To-The-Sun Road probably won't be open, you can still visit the lower elevation places there. Lake McDonald is beautiful and has some trails to walk around. If the road is open til the Avalanche Campground, the Trail of the Cedars is an easy, very pretty walk with rushing waterfalls in the spring! It also leads to Avalanch Lake trailhead if you want to do a hike! If there's still snow in Glacier, people enjoy snowshoeing. If the road is clear of snow, you can bike the Going-to-the-Sun road! There are places to rent bikes in Kalispell.

CSKT Bison Range

The Bison Range is about 1 and 1/2 hours away from the Somers/Lakeside area, but my family really enjoyed a visit there in late May/early June. The baby bison are very cute, and it's beautiful with all of the spring flowers.

Whitefish

Good for walking around a cute downtown with great souvenir shops and good restaurants!

Bigfork

Also great for shopping! A bit more quaint than Whitefish, but fun!

Flathead Lake

Kayaking or sitting by the lake is great! Just know, the water will be VERY cold.

Volunteer Park

Great for a picnic by the lake or outdoor games!

Swan River Nature Trail

A beautiful walk.

Conrad Mansion Museum

A historic mansion owned by early settlers of the Flathead Valley. The guided tours are great!

Lone Pine State Park

We picnicked here on our first date!

West Shore / Flathead Lake State Park

Wayfarers / Flathead Lake State Park

Beautiful views and walking trails! I recommend grabbing Burger Town and bringing it over to the picnic tables here!

Good sandwiches. Fantastic scones!

Favorite coffee shop with brick walls and lots of fun coffees and pastries!

Tamarack Brewing Company

A favorite for lunch, dinner, or drinks! The keg nachos are fantastic (they feed a crowd). I also recommend their burgers, wings with the apricot bbq sauce, and their skillet cookies!
