Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is formal - long or mid dresses for women, and suits with jackets for men. The bridal party will be wearing green, and groomsmen will be in tuxedos. Evenings can get a bit cool in October in Virginia, so please feel free to bring a light jacket.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

A bit of both! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be outdoors followed by an indoor reception. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move everything indoors.

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

We’ll have shuttles to and from the venue on Saturday, with pick-up / drop-off at the Westfields Marriott and Residence Inn. Shuttles will depart the hotels at 3:40 PM, and will depart from the venue at 10:40 PM. For those that join us in continuing the celebrations after the official festivities end, there will be another bus departing the venue at 12:30 AM. Please be aware that Ubers are not reliably available from the venue, so we highly encourage guests to use the shuttles. You may also drive to and park at the venue. If you plan to do so, please notify Mim or Davey.

How early can I arrive at the wedding venue?

We encourage you to use the provided shuttles so that you'll be perfectly on time! If you’re driving or using a rideshare, we kindly ask that you arrive no earlier than 4:00 PM.

What is on the menu?

Answer

We've curated a lovely three-course seasonal menu where you can choose from one of three options for the main course. You should have received an email with a form to select your entrée and share any dietary restrictions or allergies. We ask that you make your meal selection by September 21. If you have not yet received an email, please let Mim or Davey know.

Will there be drinks?

Answer

Yes! There will be a full open bar all evening, starting right after the ceremony.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We’d love to celebrate with everyone, but due to venue capacity, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on each invitation. If your invitation includes a plus-one, it will be noted.

Are kids allowed?

Answer

We adore your kids, but we kindly request no children.

Your presence is truly the greatest gift, but for those who wish to contribute, you can find our registry on the “Gifts” page of the website.
