We have planned a 3 day celebration with accommodations from September 5th through September 9th. We chose to celebrate this way because we value our family and friends and want to be together for a meaningful duration of time.

Legend says that in 1478, here in the rooms of this Castle, the Pazzi family masterminded the infamous plot to kill two outstanding representatives of the Florence ruling family, the Medici, Lorenzo and Giuliano. 11.18.19 We traveled to Mexico City to do some exploring of food, art and culture. Milo was especially excited for his planned portion of the trip - a sunrise hike to the peak of Nevada de Toluca. It started with a wake up alarm at 12:20am, car departure at 2am, and base arrival at 4am. And that was the easy part. We then, along with our guide and a new dog friend who joined us early in the hike, started to ascend the volcano. As Milo climbed he thought all about the summit and symbolism of marriage. The climb reflected the struggle and overcoming of obstacles together. The sunrise was akin to us starting a new chapter in our lives together. Cassie thought about how hungry and tired she was and how hard it was to breathe. But in the end, they made it! As the sun came up over the horizon Milo got down on one knee (said some things we don't remember) and opened the ring box upside down.
