It all began in the most unexpected places… a Spirit Halloween store. While shopping for Halloween supplies with one of my best friends, I met Scott. He struck up a conversation, introduced me to his friends, and we all chatted for a while. That was it… or so I thought. Little did I know, the universe had a different plan. The following year, I reconnected with one of Scott’s friends at Phoenix Comicon, and he joined us. Scott was charming and funny, but I wasn't sure. He lived in Tucson; I was in Phoenix, so I wasn't certain how it would work. Yet, we started texting more. Eventually, he drove up to Phoenix to hang out. When he arrived at my house, he surprised me with multiple bouquets of gorgeous fake flowers, knowing how much I loved them! We had dinner and went to see the movie Valerian (which, to be honest, wasn't great). Our connection deepened over time. We spent our time seeing countless movies, visiting each other as often as we could, and building a beautiful life together. After eight magnificent years of getting to know each other, he rented out a room at Roadhouse Cinema movie theater, created a short film, and proposed in front of our families! He even live-streamed the moment for out of town loved ones to witness. From that first meeting at Spirit Halloween to this moment, our journey has been filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We can't wait to continue this adventure together!
