We're getting married!

Alaina and Andrew met while working at Claddagh Irish Pub in 2010. Although they had gone to high school together and had different groups of friends, Andrew was in the grade above Alaina and says he remembers her but she definitely knew who he was with his blonde curly hair without a beard or glasses. One night while at a bar with friends, they started talking and their friend suggested Andrew drive Alaina home. They instantly connected and from that moment, Alaina knew this was meant to be. After a few years apart, they reconnected and met for drinks. Numerous days were spent talking about their future and they could sense that they were meant to be together. They moved in together with their dog Guinness, two cats Darcy and Ceilidh, and weathered through the hardest days together. Their favorite vacation destination, Mackinac Island, was an annual trip they tried to take around their anniversary in August and they decided to forgo their trip in 2023 until Andrew suggested going in September. Alaina was surprised as he planned the whole trip. On the last day of their trip, after riding their bicycles about 15 miles around the island, they stopped for ice cream and took a walk to find a spot to watch the sunset. Alaina asked a few times if a spot would be good to sit down and Andrew kept insisting to go farther down the shore away from other people. They found a quiet spot with a seagull and loon in the background. He got down on one knee and Alaina can't remember what was said and started crying immediately but, of course, she said yes.
