It can range from 60 and sunny on the high end, but it could also snow! You’ll always want to have a jacket with you or a shawl for the wedding night.

Can I get around by cab?

Answer

Yes definitely, but you wouldn’t want to take a cab to a trailhead as you might have a hard time getting a ride home. You would be ok to cab/Uber/lyft between Reno airport and Tahoe City, or from Tahoe City to Truckee for example.

What’s nearby to Lake Tahoe if we want to sightsee on our trip?

Here’s the most notable places, drivable from Lake Tahoe: 1) You should really drive all the way around the lake as it is absolutely beautiful. 2) Visit San Francisco where David and Milly live! It is a 3-4 hour drive. 3) Yosemite is stunning, and should be gorgeous in the fall. The weather is similar to Lake Tahoe (hopefully 50-60 degrees during the day, then down into the 40s at night), and it is a 3 hour drive. 4) Napa Valley is just under a 3 hour drive. Wine tasting anyone?
