But beyond the laughs, Kay is also the person I can turn to when life gets real. Weāve had some deep, honest conversations about what it means to be grown men navigating serious stuffārelationships, responsibilities, and everything in between. He gets it. Having him as my best man means having someone who brings both the jokes and the wisdom, and I couldnāt be more grateful.

The big sister, the one who is always ready for the party and hits the dougie like no one else (ask her to show you at the reception)! It wasn't until I reached adulthood that Eurisha and I truly connected and discovered the bond we now cherish, but having her by my side means the world to me.

Decades ago, Josh and I were brought together through our connection to Kalond. I went over to his house one day to play video games and stayed the whole summer! We bonded instantly and made it official: we took a blade to our palms, pressed them together, and vowed to be blood brothers for life. That bond has held strong through everything since. Josh is more than a friendāheās family in every way that counts, and Iām proud to have him standing with me on this day.

The first time I met Terrance or āMoothā (short story)āhe was honestly kind of terrible to me. But the next time we crossed paths, he flipped the script and showed up as one of the most stand-up guys Iāve ever met. From that point on, we just kept finding more things to bring us closer. I consider this brother the āYing to my Yangā. I'm honored to have standing him next to me (pay attention his facial expressions as he's standing there...LOL).
Chaka - Bride's Cousin

Chaka is the cousin who is always the most fun person at the event, who is driven and accomplished, and turns a quick call into a pep talk you didnāt know you needed. One half of the twin towersā¦you will know when she enters the room! Iām so lucky to have her walking with me through this next chapter.
Kenny - My Left Hand

I call him Teddy (another short story š). Teddy is my longest-standing friend from the Union, and someone Iāve always looked up to. His morals, his perspective on life, and the way he carries himself, have all left a lasting impression on me. After Mooth, Kenny is the next call I make when I need real advice. Heās steady, thoughtful, and always has a way of grounding me. Having him by my side on this day means a lot.

Brandi, my cousin, the other half of the twin towersā¦somehow, in the middle of a crowded bar, sheāll find someone and fix their entire life. Her ābar therapyā sessions are legendary! Brandi is a one-of-a-kind spirit and I couldnāt imagine this day without her there with her energy and love!

Rico has always been the little brother I once thought I didnāt wantābut he turned out to be the little brother Iāve always loved. Growing up, I may not have been the best at showing it, but Iāve come to realize just how much I cherished watching him grow into the newer, cooler version of our mamaās boy. Itās been an honor to watch him come into his own, and I couldnāt be prouder to have him standing there, taller than me.

I don't even know how I was able to get close enough to be in his guys inner circle (pause). Naw I'm lying, I know how but that's between us (super pause). Bar is that guy that has seen it all and done it all so I always like to check in with him and get his perspective on things. He reciprocates by showing me what color will look good on a painting but making sure I paint it the way I want cause I have to live with it.
