Ryan's family, on his dads side, is originally from the island of Syros. We wanted to make our wedding a special occasion, that celebrates our love and the celebrates the ancestry of the Vanvakaris'.

Syros is known as an Industrial Island, as it has a rich industrial history. That being said, there are tons of beautiful beaches, restaurants, hikes and more! We have listed a few recommendations under the "Things To Do" tab.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be formal attire. The weather should be beautiful this time of year, but the ceremony and reception will be outside, so plan accordingly.

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love everyone's little ones, and we hope this can be a family vacation, the wedding and reception will be an Adults Only occasion. We encourage bringing a loved one on the trip to help with the day of the celebration. Depending on the amount of children coming along on the trip, we may hire a CPR certified babysitter (from the US) that can watch the kiddos during the ceremony.
