When should I RSVP by?

Are vaccines required?

Answer

Yes! For the safety and wellbeing of our family and friends (and the greater Boston community), we are asking all of our guests to be fully vaccinated (including relevant boosters) against Covid-19 and the flu before attending our wedding. Please do not attend if you have not been fully vaccinated (including the booster).

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your partner's name is written on the invitation, they are invited! Our hope is to have an intimate wedding where everyone present has had a direct impact on our lives or relationship. For that reason, we ask that you do not bring people whom we have not invited. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome for the weekend?

Answer

Although we love little ones, due to limited space, our wedding events are adult-only (16+) affairs. We hope this will allow you a much-deserved night off to celebrate with us! If you received an invitation addressed "and Family", the invited children's names will be listed on the RSVP page above.

What is your new family name?

Answer

Thanks for asking! Neither one of us will be changing our last name. So, we will unofficially be the Miller-Shearers. If you'd like to purchase a gift with our family name on it, please use Miller-Shearer.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please arrive to the wedding venue by 4:30 p.m.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no dress code for any of the events this weekend. We want you to dress however you feel most comfortable. For those looking for more direction, we have include suggested dress codes within each event under the Schedule tab above.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your company, love, and laughter on our wedding day is the only gift we need. However, after being asked by friends and family, we have put together a list of suggestions. Look to the above navigation bar to see our registry.

I have a food allergy, preference, or dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Definitely. We have included this question on the RSVP for each event we are hosting. Please indicate your preferences when you RSVP.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the wedding?

Answer

No, we will not be having transportation from the hotels. We recommend that you walk (it's such a beautiful time of year in the city!), take public transit, or take a cab/Uber/Lyft to the location.

Are there any other events that I should know about?

Yes! We will be having a welcome event and a brunch after the wedding. You are welcome to attend all of the events, but please remember to RSVP for each one you will attend via this website. Please see the Schedule tab above for more details.

We're so glad you asked - Alexandria's school is downtown and she has spent lots of time finding the perfect cup.
