Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Madelyn Miller and Jonathan Sanchez
Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Madelyn Miller

Bride

I’m Madelyn, and I met Jon back in college. It didn’t take me long to realize he was something special. I’ve always been someone who loves deeply, but Jon brought a new kind of love into my life — gentle, patient, and completely steady. One winter, while dog-sitting, he made Buzz a sweater out of an old sock so they could go on a walk together. That’s when I knew… this was the man I’d marry. He sees the little things, and he puts love into all of them. I can’t wait to spend forever with him.

Jonathan Sanchez

Groom

I’m Jon, and I met Maddie while working in Residence Life at our university. From the moment I met her—and little buddy (Buzz)—I knew there was something special between us. The more we got to know each other, the more certain I became, even telling a buddy of mine (Ruben) early on, when she joined the Residence Life crew, that “Maddie is wife material. If I ever get the opportunity to date her, I would wife her up.” Wouldn't you know it—a golf/basketball season later, five outings to Cowboys Dance Hall, and endless late-night McDonald’s runs and chats—we were thick as thieves. I even started a savings account early on to save up for the perfect ring because I knew she was my lobster from the beginning. I can’t wait to spend forever with her, creating memories and building our life together.

Mikayla Miller Cook

Matron of Honor

My sister, and matron of honor, has always been the most amazing older sister anyone could ask for. Full of wisdom, kindness, and unconditional love, she has been my guiding light through every chapter of life. From childhood adventures and late-night talks to celebrations and challenges, she has always been the one I could count on. Whether we’re sharing laughter on the golf course, swapping stories over soda, or simply being there for one another, her steady presence brings comfort and joy in every moment. She leads with grace, listens with patience, and loves with her whole heart. I couldn’t imagine walking down the aisle without her by my side, just as she’s always been throughout my life.

Rhett Cardwell

Best Man

My best man and I played college football together at Rice University, but we didn’t truly connect until the universe, and Javante Hubard, brought us together through a 3 AM burger grilling class. Since then, we’ve bonded over our love for SpongeBob, anime, and sports, sharing great times and even better laughs. We’ve seen it all from each other, both on and off the field, and there’s no one I’d rather have by my side in a foxhole, a lion’s den, or on this big day than Ole Rhett Cardwell.

Samantha Ingram

Bridesmaid

Samantha and I have been friends since our little league days, where her competitive spirit made it clear she was someone I always wanted by my side. Through every stage of life, she has supported me without fail. No distance, whether cities or states apart, has ever stopped her from being there when I need her. She’s always down for an adventure anytime, anywhere—from grabbing Slurpees after school in high school to meeting up for Mickey waffles as adults. Whether it’s picking up the phone for a quick laugh or being the shoulder I cry on, Samantha is the most encouraging friend and always ready to back me up. I truly couldn’t imagine walking down the aisle without her by my side.

John Paul Sanchez

Groomsman

My older brother has always been my biggest fan, cheering me on in every sport I played. He’s the guy who always shows up when you need him and even when you don't. He is the firstborn people pleaser and is ready to dance at a moment’s notice. He'll make a list about a list to make sure he is doing, watching, or getting the most out of any decision. He’s always been there for me, and I know he is always a text or phone call away. I’m lucky to have him standing with me as one of my groomsmen.

Alexis Calzada

Bridesmaid

I met Alexis on my college golf team, and she has been a true blessing in my life ever since. She is one of the most wonderful, God-fearing women I know, always bringing love, positivity, and prayer into every room she enters. Our time together on the golf course turned into something much more meaningful as we went from complete strangers to weekly roommates and lifelong friends. Whether we were traveling for tournaments, sharing late-night talks, or simply spending time together, Alexis has always been a steady, joyful presence. Her faith is unshakable, her laughter is contagious, and her heart for others shines in everything she does. I’m beyond grateful to have her walking with me through this journey and standing beside me on such a special day.

Josh Sanchez

Groomsman

My younger brother and I like to say that we were the true athletes of the family growing up and were always fired up to compete against each other. Whether it was to get shotgun in the car, find the best clothes at Ross, or play coliseum-level violent 1v1 basketball in the driveway. Although we are grown up, our violent competitive tendencies still come alive from time to time through bone-crushing handshakes and retired weight room stats. But, through all those fun memories, the best ones were playing on the same team together. I know that on or off the court, Josh is one call away, though let’s be honest, it’s usually a FaceTime call. He’s ambitious, confident, and always eager to help anyone with anything they need. His free spirit and energy make him such a great person to be around, and I’m glad to have him by my side as a groomsman.

Ashley Sanchez

Bridesmaid

I’m lucky enough to know Ashley through Jon, and from the moment we met, I knew how special she was to him. She is not only incredibly kind and enthusiastic but also one of the smartest and most genuine people I know. Her quick wit and warm personality make every conversation enjoyable and memorable. When it comes to game nights, she’s the best companion. Whether we’re playing to win or just laughing along the way, I always want her on my team. Beyond the games, Ashley’s positive energy and thoughtful nature make her such a joy to be around. I’m so grateful to have her as part of my bridal party and even more thankful to call her family.

Bradley Rozner

Groomsman

When Rozner came to us from Cisco College #JUCOProduct, we truly didn't know what to expect. It was quickly revealed to us that he should be a part of our group due to his extreme grit and self-deprecating humor that we all cherish. As quickly as we added him, he became a very close-knit brother to everyone. Rozner is his own Yin and Yang, peace and chaos. He’s the kind of guy who’s always up for anything, bringing his signature mix of humor and just the right amount of chaos to every moment. Whether it's a last-minute hangout or a big celebration, Rozner shows up with heart, hilarity, and a war cry if you ask him. I am honored to have him stand beside me on my big day.

Victor Salazar

Officiant

Victor has been such an important figure in our lives, and there is no one we trust more to marry us than him. We first met when he was our boss in Residence Life, and although our early interactions involved sitting in front of him to report our relationship to HR, it’s the mentorship and guidance he provided that truly shaped who we are today. Victor has always been a role model to us—not just in our professional lives, but in how we approach life, relationships, and personal growth. He helped us become better professionals and, more importantly, better people. His unwavering support and wisdom made such an impact on us, and we are incredibly grateful for him and his family. Having Victor officiate our wedding feels like the perfect full circle moment, and we are honored to have him guide us into this next chapter of our lives.

Ruben Monzon

Groomsman

Ole Rube and myself have come a long way. From nemesis to brotherhood to absolute goosery, Rube took a leap of faith with me that the majority of individuals would not do and turned a moment of truth and accountability into a lifelong friendship. Ruben is a man of action, a man with a purpose, a man with a mustache. He is perpetually helping others and holding the world accountable, and I can’t thank the circumstances that brought us together — along with Miss Maddie — enough. I am amazed that he got to witness two things: how I fell in love with Maddie and how I followed through. Love you, Rube.

Christina Chavarria

Usher

Christina holds such a special place in our hearts, and we couldn’t imagine our wedding without her by our side. As our direct superior one step below Victor, she always had our backs and played a huge role in shaping our time in Residence Life. But beyond her leadership, she was the matchmaker who saw the potential in us long before we did, knowing that we were meant to connect. Her support has never wavered, and she’s always been our number one fan. Having Christina as an usher at our wedding feels like a natural fit—she’s been there through it all, with her infectious energy, warmth, and laughter. There’s no one better to help guide our guests through this special day, and we’re beyond grateful to have her as part of our celebration.

Coby Dalton

Usher

Coby has been a constant source of light and laughter in our lives. As a fellow leader alongside Christina, he has a gift for bringing joy to every situation—even the ones that probably should’ve been serious! Beyond his humor, Coby has served as a steady, supportive role model, always showing up to guide us, lift us up, and offer correction with grace and care. We are incredibly grateful for the love and mentorship he’s poured into us, and we are so excited to have him welcoming our guests with the same warmth and spirit he’s always shown us.
