Flight

Boston Logan International Airport

If you fly into Boston, there are options to rent a car to drive up to Rockland, or you can take a bus. Concord Coach lines does direct bus trips with a stop in Portland. Travel time will be between 3 and 4 hours.

Portland International Jetport (PWM)

Flights to Portland tend to be more expensive than Boston but the drive from the airport to the Rockland Ferry terminal is only 2 hours.

Rockland/ Vinalhaven Ferry Schedule

The ferry to Vinalhaven is at the Rockland Ferry Terminal. There is overnight parking if you do not want to take your vehicle over to the island. If you do want to bring your vehicle and have never been here, please reach out to Molly (774-217-0190) about how it works. The ferry has 6 trips daily: 7:00am, 8:45am, 10:30am, 1:00pm, 2:45pm, 4:30pm. The ferry ride is ~75 minutes with space on deck for vehicles and seating in the cabins above.
