Air Travel to Chicago

Chicago has two major airports, Midway & O'Hare. Our venue is on the north side of the city and closer to O'Hare, but you can easily access Chicago from EITHER airport by car, public transit, or Uber/Lyft. The CTA has trains to the city from both airpots (Orange line runs from downtown to Midway and back, Blue line runs from downtown to O'Hare and back) and costs about $2.25 to ride. However, we do not recommend this public transit option to people traveling alone or late at night if they're unfamiliar with city public transit- you never know who you'll meet on the CTA!

Lodging and Transportation Information

We do not have a specific hotel block for guests- you can stay anywhere you like in Chicago! This city is full of great hotels, Airbnbs, and unique places to stay. We've listed a few great options near our venue we think you'd like below. We kindly ask that guests secure their own transportation to and from the wedding/reception. Ubers/Lyfts and cabs are easily accessible and affordable from just about anywhere in Chicago and all of the lodging options listed below. If you plan to drive, there is free parking for the event available in the Hayt Elementary School parking log (1518 W. Granville Ave), which is about 2.5 blocks or a 6 minute walk from the venue. Additional free or metered street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.

The Guesthouse Hotel

This is a small hotel with apartment-style units (1-3 bedrooms) for anyone looking to stay with a group, or stay somewhere cozier than your traditional hotel room! It's a 10 minute drive from our venue. They have a rooftop open to guests, and could be a great place to stay if you'd like to share a space with friends! Pat and Rachel will be staying here.

Hampton Inn Chicago North/Loyola Station

This is the CLOSEST hotel to our venue- it's a 5 minute drive from the main event! However, it's Loyola family weekend, so rooms are booking quickly and costs are higher than normal here. But if you'd like to be as close as possible- this is a great option for you!

Hotel Lincoln - JDV by Hyatt

This is a fun boutique hotel located near lots of fun things to do in Chicago! It's a 15 minute drive from our venue, but is walking distance to the lakefront, Lincoln Park Zoo, and North Avenue Beach. It's also got an incredible rooftop bar with views of the city skyline! It's located halfway between our venue and the Loop, and is a great place to stay if you're visiting from out of town and want to explore more of what Chicago has to offer!

Hilton Orrington/Evanston

This hotel is located outside of Chicago city limits in Evanston (next to Northwestern University), and is a 15 minute drive from our venue. This a great option if you'd like to avoid city traffic but stay close to the main event!
