Wedding Party

Jennifer Hoyt

Bridesmaid

Kayla met Jen in college at a campus Christian ministry called RUF and discovered both girls not only shared an interest in Faith but also in their career field. They came to know one another very well after both getting into the MOT graduate program together, spending countless nights studying/doing group projects, living together as roommates, commuting to class daily, and helping one another pursue their similar but unique career paths!

Samuel Oswald

Best Man

Of all of Kyle's close friendships, Sam's friendship is the youngest. However, what is lacking in years CERTAINLY isn't lacking in richness. Kyle and Sam first met as neighbors, became roommates, and before long, best friends. Over the years, they’ve shared countless laughs, late-night playlists, and more than a few fine meals and good drinks. Sam is honored to stand beside Kyle on his big day — and couldn’t imagine a better pairing than Kyle and Kayla.

Sree Kumar

Bridesmaid

Sree and Kayla met in sophomore year of high school, both as new students having to navigate the challenges of transferring schools mid-way through high school. They were drawn to each other by a simple Ohio State shirt, and were great friends ever since, with their friendship persevering through the challenges of the rigorous curriculum of IB through high school and then continuing on in college at UF!

Erin Chu

Bridesmaid

Erin, Sarah, and Kayla grew up together and have been through all of life together, with their families being close friends as well. One could say Erin and her family are like a 2nd family to Kayla (coincidentally, sharing the last name “Miller”). It was through their incredible bond that the girls all got into & stuck with running throughout middle & high school, forging a team so strong that they qualified for States as middle schoolers against high schoolers!

Abigail Hagan

Bridesmaid

Abby, Sarah, and Kayla met in middle school on the running team, and formed not only an alliance on the track but also in life. The girls were inseparable, and eventually all transferred from SCS to Riverview to continue their running together. Although they lost touch after graduation, Abby & Kayla were reunited by the very thing that brought them together initially– running! They bumped into each other at the park one day and have picked up where they left off seemlessly!

Sarah Mckay

Bridesmaid

One could say that Sarah and Kayla go way back. In fact, the two share much more in common than the average person… Kayla would like to attribute much of who she is today to Sarah, as the two spent their younger and formidable lives constantly competing with one another to better themselves. In true fashion of distance making the heart grow fonder, Sarah and Kayla's bond has only strengthened with physical distance (along with developing their own individual paths).

Mikayla Dieterle

Bridesmaid

Kayla met Mikayla, Kyle’s sister, early on in their relationship, and couldn’t be happier to have another sister to add to her family! Through spending more time with Kyle, Kayla got to know those who were important in his life, including Mikayla, enjoying frequent activities together (including hurricane parties, free yoga, living together as roommates, family dinners, etc!)

Derek Dieterle

Groomsman

Kyle had 6 years to prepare for becoming an older brother to Derek and his twin, Mikayla. Competition ran rampant in their childhood, from racing down the slopes on skis to versing each other in Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. Once Kyle moved away for college, their sibling-ship evolved to a never-before-seen level... respect. Maturity has brought Kyle and Derek closer than they ever have been, even though they've never been physically further apart.

Dylan Hartwick

Groomsman

If there's one thing to know about Dylan, it's that he does everything 110%. Even friendship! It's through this quality that Kyle and Dylan's friendship has stood the test of time and distance. Even living in separate corners of the country couldn't stop this dynamic duo with Dylan's "Dyligence" with regards to daily check-ins and weekly game nights.

Kody Andreas

Groomsman

It was Kody's love for music that convinced Kyle to join Chamber Choir in Middle School. Although they had already been friends for years at that point, that was when their friendship truly took center stage. When Kody went to a different high school, community college brought them right back together again, and they've stayed close friends ever since.

Alex Botbyl

Groomsman

Alex is one of Kyle's OG friends, going all the way back to early Elementary school. Through Alex, Kyle met many of his closest friends, some of which are in this wedding party. Forever his moral compass, Alex was always there to help point Kyle in the right direction when he felt lost. Often times this wisdom and sage-hood took place at the local Pizza Hut.

Cody Miller

Groomsman

When Kayla finally brought Kyle home to meet the fam', that included her favorite brother Cody. Kyle and Cody got to spend time getting to know each other at the Weekly Miller Family Sunday Lunches (WMFSLs). They learned they have much in common beyond spoiling Kayla; these include being over 6ft tall, having boat captain-ing experience, treating coworkers to endless donuts, and making humor a large portion of their personality.
