The Wedding Website of Megan Miller and Matthew Cifranic
Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park

The park entry is located about 15 minutes north of downtown Jackson, with most attractions 30+ minutes in. Entrance fee for GTNP is $35/vehicle for 7 days. You can also purchase an America the Beautiful National Park pass for $80. This will cover any national park entry fee for 1 year. Passes are per vehicle, not person. Helpful apps for navigating the park: NPS and alltrails Things to see and do: 1. Overlooks: Jackson Lake, Snake River, Jenny Lake 2. Scenic Drives: Jenny Lake Scenic Loop, Moose-Wilson Road 3. Hiking: Death Canyon to Phelps Lake, Taggart Lake Loop, Cascade Canyon Trail, Jenny Lake Trail 4. Mormon Row 5. Wildlife Watching @ Oxbow Bend 6. Boating/Floating -Jenny Lake: currently boat/kayak rentals are not open for jenny lake due to COVID. They are unsure if they will open this season, so continue to check back https://jennylakeboating.com/ -Jackson Lake: https://www.signalmountainlodge.com/lodge-services/boat-rentals

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone is 30 miles north of GTNP. The south entrance is 1 hour 15 minutes north of downtown Jackson. Entrance fees are the same as GTNP, so I would suggest getting the yearly pass if you're doing both parks. Yellowstone is a much bigger park when compared to the Tetons. It will take several hours to drive through so plan accordingly. Things to see and do: 1. Grand Prismatic Spring 2. Geysers: Upper Geyser & Old Faithful (kind of let down IMO, but you'll get a paper when you enter the park that has a number which will inform you of estimated eruption times), 3. Lamar Valley and Hayden Valley: most popular places to see wildlife in Yellowstone. Early morning or late afternoon are the best times to visit, as the animals are more active around that time. 4. Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone: one of the main attractions that we somehow missed when visiting. Big regret! Yellowstone canyon is over 24 miles long with many lookouts and walking trails along the canyon.
