While You’re Here

While you’re in Charleston, here are a few of our favorite places to eat and unwind over the weekend. This list is mostly restaurants (because Charleston does food really well), but there are also plenty of museums, parks, and local spots to check out. If you have time, wander King Street or stop by the Charleston City Market downtown!

Sullivan's Island and Folly Beach

Our personal favorite beach is Sullivan’s Island, though Folly Beach is another great option that’s a bit closer to the wedding events. There are also great restaurants on the island, including Home Team BBQ, Mex 1 Coastal Cantina, and Poe's Tavern.

Melfi's

Our favorite spot for a special meal, reservations recommended. Exceptional Italian food, attentive service, and a charming, classic Charleston setting. We’ve made it a tradition to come here to celebrate the end of the first week of each year of law school!

The Darling Oyster Bar

Our favorite seafood restaurant and a go-to for date night, reservations are recommended!

Home Team

We love heading to Home Team BBQ on the weekends to split wings and enjoy Pacifico on draft, though you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. There are several locations throughout Charleston, making it an easy go-to!

Pink Cactus Charleston

100 A Spring Street, Charleston, SC 29403

Pink Cactus is our neighborhood favorite, known for its great happy hour and easygoing atmosphere, you can’t go wrong!

Heavy's Barburger
