Sun Valley is a small area that consists of a lodge and shopping village (i.e., very small). When people refer to Sun Valley, they are almost always referring to Ketchum. The Wood River Valley consists of Sun Valley, Ketchum, Hailey (where Brandon grew up) and Bellevue. Although staying in Ketchum or Sun Valley would be most efficient, feel free to also look in Hailey (or anywhere in between). You will find yourself driving to different areas in the valley based on activities, shopping, dining, etc. There are many hotels in the valley; we encourage you to also look at airbnb and Vrbo. Below are a list of hotels starting with the most budget friendly.

Nine times out of ten, we fly into Boise Airport (BOI) and rent a car to make the 2:25 drive to Sun Valley. However, it is worth looking at the Twin Falls airport (TWF - 1:15 away) or the Sun Valley airport (SUN), which will land you right in Hailey. These last two options are often times more expensive.

Having a rental car is ideal. There are also taxis and Ubers; note that this is a small town so they are not as plentiful as big cities.
