Though we would like to say we had an elaborate story of how we met, our story started with meeting each other online in late September 2018. Due to Sarah's ever busy schedule, our first encounter included Kaitlyn, the brides sister, joining in on our first official in person meeting at Bar Louie October 2018. Joe decided to surprise Sarah on our first official date by following up a beautiful Andiamos dinner with a Christmas lights show, which made her cry. Enjoying their favorite holiday season, complete with watching Christmas movies at Joe's apartment, and Seeing Elf the Musical brought us even closer together. We became an official couple on November 27th 2018. It wasn't long after that Joe officially asked Sarah to move in. We adopted our beloved dogs, Boston and Fenway, shortly after and became our own little family. We cannot wait to celebrate this ceremonious next step in our relationship with all of you
Joe will tell you that his original proposal plan was completely derailed, thanks to an international pandemic. Before the word shut down, Sarah was in rehersals to play Mary Poppins at a nearby theatre. Joe had a beautiful plan to propose to Sarah onstage during her final bow of closing night. Though this proposal idea was "practically perfect", Sarah's show, like many other theatre productions during the pandemic, had to be cancelled. Because of this, Joe had to come up with a new plan... So he contacted Mary, our now wedding photographer, who captured every moment of the newly planned park proposal on a quiet bridge by the stream. The new proposal was elevated from "practically perfect" to completely perfect in every way. Sarah never suspected a thing
