FAQs

Question

When can I RSVP?

Answer

Formal invitations, which you can expect to receive toward the end of the year, will include RSVP details and timing. If you already know you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to let us know in advance—it’s completely optional, but appreciated.

Question

Are plus ones or children allowed?

Answer

Due to limited space, attendance is limited to the guests listed on your save the date and invitation. Plus ones and children are included only if specified. We are unable to accommodate additional guests and appreciate your understanding.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie Optional. Gentlemen are welcome to wear a tuxedo, though a formal dark suit is perfectly appropriate. Ladies, we kindly ask that you wear a floor-length gown. To help create the rich, moody atmosphere we're envisioning, we encourage guests to wear deep jewel tones or chocolate brown. Festive formal attire is highly encouraged, so feel free to embrace luxurious fabrics such as satin, silk, and velvet, along with sequins, feathers, fringe, statement jewelry, bold silhouettes, and dramatic flair. If you've been saving a fabulous outfit for a special occasion, this is your moment. We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing shades traditionally reserved for the bride, including white, ivory, cream, or champagne. And if you think you can outdress the bride… we welcome the challenge.

Question

What is the schedule for the wedding day?

Answer

A detailed timeline will be shared on the Schedule section of the website closer to the wedding date. Our ceremony and reception will be held indoors. Following our late afternoon ceremony, guests will be invited to join us for a second line parade through the streets of New Orleans, arriving at the reception venue for an outdoor cocktail hour before the celebration continues into the late evening.

Question

What is the second line parade?

Answer

A second line is a traditional New Orleans wedding parade led by a brass band, where guests follow along dancing and celebrating the newlyweds. Guests will wave handkerchiefs, while the couple carries parasols, as everyone joins in making their way from the ceremony to the reception. We highly recommend changing into comfortable shoes for the walk.

Question

When should I plan to arrive in New Orleans?

Answer

We recommend arriving on Thursday, April 1st to allow time to settle in and enjoy the city before the wedding festivities begin. More details about the weekend schedule will be shared closer to the wedding.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We will share recommended hotel options under the Travel section of the website once our room blocks are finalized. Please check back soon for more details!

Question

Will more wedding details be added to the website?

Answer

Yes! We will continue to update the website with additional details and FAQs as the wedding approaches. Please check back from time to time for the latest information and updates.
