Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Milagros Cima and Mahlleace Tomsin
Valle de Guadalupe is our happy place — and we hope you enjoy it, too. Here, you can spend the day sipping wines at sun-soaked vineyards, lingering over farm-to-table meals at restaurants you'll dream about long after you leave, and soaking in the sweeping views along the scenic Ruta del Vino. Wander through artisan markets for handmade treasures, discover the region’s history at the charming Museo de la Vid y el Vino, or take in the magic on a bike ride or horseback through the vineyards. And definitely come hungry — there are so many delicious spots to eat. Below you'll find a list of restaurants, vineyards, and activities we recommend in the area!

Dinner Spots

Below are a list of restaurants we recommend for dinner:

Animalon

Our multiple visits to this enchanting restaurant have consistently delivered exceptional culinary experiences, each one unique with fresh flavors. A Michelin-starred jewel under the culinary direction of Chef Oscar Torres, Animalon invites you to a magical al-fresco tasting journey beneath a centuries-old oak tree, celebrating the bold, regional flavors of Baja. *Note: this is the location of our rehearsal dinner

Bura Cuatro Cuatros

Make your reservations in advance and drive over to Cuatro Cuatros (30 minutes from Valle) to watch the sunset over the Pacific, eat delicious seafood, and sip on craft cocktails. The setting and view are out of this world.

Damiana

A stunning setting, nestled on the Viñedos de la Reina property. Two rows of trees provide shade for the tables lined up on the patio for those who want to dine outdoors. Chef Esteban Lluis celebrates the local valley's products in his multicourse tasting menu that is contemporary Mexican at its core. The kitchen plays with presentation and expectations in fun and creative ways. The dishes are bold and brilliantly executed and earned them a Michelin Star in 2025.

Deckman's en el Mogor

Deckman’s en el Mogor offers a true Baja farm-to-table experience where dishes are cooked over open flames and served in a rustic vineyard setting with breathtaking valley views. The restaurant cultivates approximately 80% of its vegetables across three gardens, each hosting at least five beehives. Organic waste is transformed into compost, and shells are creatively repurposed to control erosion, aid in construction, enrich garden soil, or provide calcium for the chickens. Most ingredients travel no more than 35 km from their source to your plate, ensuring peak freshness. Additionally, all seafood is sourced exclusively from Baja California. Their sustainability practices earned them the Michelin Green Star in 2025.

Lunario

Lunario is a romantic garden hideaway, serving artfully plated, seasonal dishes under a canopy of twinkling lights and starry skies. Chef Sheyla is incredible, and this is one of our favorite restaurants in the area! Also a winner of the Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star in 2025.

Olivea Farm to Table

Olivea Farm to Table weaves organic garden-to-plate magic with contemporary flair, showcasing the region’s finest seasonal flavors with graceful artistry. They source all their vegetables from their own garden, which guests have the opportunity to tour before sitting down to eat. Their tasting menu was the best dining experience we've EVER had; we cannot recommend this restaurant enough. A winner of the 2025 Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star.

Primitivo

At Primitivo, the kitchen is anchored by a large fire pit where ingredients are cooked in cast-iron dishes or directly on the flame. Chef Carolina Jimenéz brings a unique approach to this rustic menu rooted in local sourcing.

Lunch/Breakfast Spots

Below are a list of restaurants we recommend for lunch and breakfast:

Adobe Food Truck

Charming garden-side spot at Adobe Guadalupe winery where you can kick back with tapas-style bites, great wine or local beer, and laid‑back vibes under the trees.

Al Fresko

Small bites, spritzes, summer vibes all the way. Super cute road side spot next to Mercadito by Hefah (listed below). Triples as restaurant, bakery, and small market.

Aromas Coffee & Shop

Located inside Maglen's Resort, Barista Isaac Jiménez is sourcing coffee directly from México’s top coffee plantations in states like Chiapas, slowly roasting the beans in-house.

Casa de los Chilaquiles

A cozy and VERY casual breakfast lunch spot in the heart of Valle. Their house-style chilaquiles are AMAZING. They're also known for their rich café de olla. We go here every time we're in Valle. We love it so much.

Conchas de Piedra

Oysters & bubbles all day! Some of the best wine in the country by Casa de Piedra winery and shellfish from Deckman’s kitchen at this collaborative restaurant. Their sparkling rose is crunchy and semi sweet; it’s perfect with razor clams. All seafood is seasonal, responsible and 100% from Baja. It's worth noting that this gem is best suited for a delightful lunch stop. The portions are modest, focusing on the essence of shellfish, making it less ideal for a hearty dinner. A winner of the Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star.

Mercadito by Hefah

This cute roadside market sells local and artesanal products, offers tequila tastings, and has a small menu of delicious breakfast/lunch food. We love coming here for a quick burrito or torta.

Taqueria La Principal

Situated in a warehouse space with plastic furniture, this quintessential no-frills roadside taqueria doesn’t get a lot of points for ambience, but the simple, satisfying fare speaks for itself. The menu doesn’t call for extensive decision-making: choose between three meats (thinly sliced beef asada, spice-marinated pork adobada, and, for the more adventurous, tender tripa), and your vehicle of choice (corn or flour tortilla, burrito, torta, etc.), and then watch the magic come together before your eyes.

Robleza Cocina de Campo

We love this spot for brunch! Beautiful and casual farm-to-table breakfast beneath a majestic centuries-old oak, where Mediterranean-inspired Mexican cuisine unfolds amid the tranquil vineyards of Valle de Guadalupe.

Wa Kumiai Tabita

Traditional Kumiai cook Tabita Dominguez serves up a delicious feast, which helps support the members of the indigenous community who work in her restaurant. Northern Mexican and indigenous flavors merge in dishes like machaca (beef jerky), mixed with eggs and served with beans, corn, and flour tortillas. Traditional Kumiai foods are also on the menu, like beef and lamb barbacoa cooked in a wood-fired oven, and a smoky white menudo that’s also cooked over fire and tastes like a cowboy cookout. Try the acorn coffee, a healthy alternative to your morning cup and a true taste of Valle de Guadalupe’s indigenous cuisine.

A boutique winery in Valle de Guadalupe where organic vineyards meet artful, eco-driven architecture—think pyramid-shaped, reclaimed-stone buildings, wine-bottle–lit interiors, and a philosophical spirit that turns every tasting into a poetic escape.

Mogor Badan

A charming, family-run gem where Swiss‑French winemaking heritage meets hands‑on, organic farming—think sun‑drenched vineyards, lush gardens, grazing sheep, and wines born from sustainable, three-generation stewardship of the land.

Monte Xanic

The pioneering boutique winery that kicked off Mexico’s premium wine revolution—set among meticulously manicured vineyards and a serene lake-dotted estate, it crafts elegant, terroir-driven blends like Cabernet‑Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc while offering thoughtful tasting experiences with sweeping valley views.

Vena Cava

A boutique, eco‑curated winery built into the land and topped with upside‑down boats serving as dramatic roofs—where inventive, small‑batch natural wines (some in ultra‑limited runs) grow from organic, dry‑farmed vineyards and pour alongside a vibrant food‑truck scene that feels like winery‑meets‑Burning Man
