FAQs

INCOMPLETE- UPDATES COMING
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For our Welcome Drinks, feel free to dress comfortably but polished - smart casual. For the Wedding itself, we kindly request that you dress in formal attire. For shoe choice, the venue grounds are groomed and well-maintained dirt (the natural grounds of the area).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, our wedding is adults-only. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are keeping the celebration intimate, so we’ve only extended invitations to those specifically named on the RSVP. If you’re unsure or need to make adjustments, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Question

Will there be transportation to and from the venue on the wedding day?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation to and from the venue. If you are planning on driving, our venue has parking. If you are not planning on driving and will need transportation to and from the venue on the day of the wedding, please reach out to us privately so that we can provide the contact information for the private car company we will be working with. There are no Ubers or taxis in Valle de Guadalupe; however, we do have a safe and trusted private car company that you can arrange pick up times with.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be outdoors. Valle can get a little chilly in the evenings (by chilly, we mean mid to upper 60s), so if you run cold, be sure to bring something warm for when the sun goes down.

Question

What is the border crossing situation?

Answer

Please see the travel section of our website for information about crossing the border by car.

Question

What are the roads like?

Answer

Most of the main roads through Valle de Guadalupe are a mix of asphalt highways and paved stretches, but once you turn into winery entrances or smaller routes, expect dirt and gravel roads. These unpaved sections can be bumpy, dusty, and sometimes muddy after rain, but they’re generally passable with a regular car. Driving around the valley is part of the rustic charm — smooth in some spots, rugged in others.

Question

Do I need to exchange money?

Answer

We never exchange dollars for pesos, as most places accept dollars and/or credit cards. We usually don't bring a lot of cash; although, you may need some if you take toll roads into Valle.

Question

Are reservations necessary for restuarants?

Answer

Reservations in Valle are a very good idea, if not necessary at some places. Some restaurants may require a deposit ahead of time to secure a reservation, especially with a party over six. Additionally, they may suggest or require a chef’s tasting menu for larger parties.
