happily ever after

It all began with a swipe on Bumble in October 2021. Michael and Kaitlynn had originally matched and exchanged introductions before Kaitlynn deleted the app, causing them to unmatch. But fate wasn't done with them yet because weeks later, she decided to give Bumble another shot and redownloaded it. To her surprise, they matched again, and Michael wasted no time calling Kaitlynn out on the missed connection. ᯽ Shortly after, on October 15th, they had their first date at Vanish Brewery, and it was nothing short of perfect. From the moment they sat down, they immediately clicked. For hours, they talked effortlessly, never running out of things to say. Their connection was so natural and easy that it felt like they had known each other for years. Although they had an undeniable spark, they both agreed to take things slow and focus on building a strong friendship first. ᯽ Over time, that friendship blossomed into something more. Their feelings deepened, and it became clear that they were meant to be more than just friends. Exactly one year after their first date, Michael asked Kaitlynn to be his girlfriend, and from there their love story began to unfold in ways they never imagined. ᯽ Over the next few years, they traveled to places like Boston, Hershey Park, Chicago, New York, California, Bolivia, and Maine, all while sharing unforgettable moments together. They’ve danced together at concerts, sipped cocktails at speakeasies, and even enjoyed quiet evenings playing Scrabble and watching documentaries. Whether it’s kickball, volleyball, or ice cream dates and walks with their dog Florence, they’ve found joy in every adventure and in simply being together. ᯽ In February 2025, during a family trip to Bolivia, Michael asked Kaitlynn to marry him. With the magical reflection pond at the Salt Flats of Uyuni as their backdrop, he proposed, and of course, she said yes. ᯽ Now, as they plan their celebration with friends and family in May 2026, they’re eager to continue this beautiful journey together.
